Jim Elliff Bio

Jim Elliff is founder and president of Christian Communicators Worldwide. For nearly twenty years prior to the beginning of CCW, 1966–1985, he worked as teaching pastor or in pastoral staff positions in a variety of churches in Florida, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma, as well as itinerating.

Since 1985 Jim has addressed organizations, educational settings, churches, and pastor's fraternals of various denominations throughout much of the United States and in many foreign countries. Most of Jim's foreign conferences have been in Eastern and Western Europe, although additional trips include several countries of South and Central America, along with five extended tours to South Africa. Jim has been privileged to address groups in all kinds of settings—everything from a witch doctor's hut to a Communist meeting hall!

Jim has a passion to communicate. He is the author of two books that have been published in the US and overseas, Led by the Spirit and Pursuing God—A Seeker's Guide. Jim has also written and published a forty-five page booklet entitled Wasted Faith, with a distribution of 170,000 in English, as well as being published in other languages. Elliff has written or edited several additional booklets which have been published by CCW, and has contributed chapters to several books. In earlier years Jim introduced his booklet for encouraging Bible reading to The Bible League who in turn continued printing and distributing it by the hundreds of thousands in several countries for twenty years. Jim’s articles also appear in a variety of periodicals and he frequently is heard on various radio programs. He was featured in a seven-part interview called How Children Come to Faith in Christ with FamilyLife Today hosted by Dennis Rainey.

In addition to Jim's writing and travel, Jim also served as the first consultant for the Midwestern Center for Biblical Revival at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. Jim co-directed the North American Convocation on Revival, a gathering of revival leaders from the United States and Canada who gather for discussion and preparation related to authentic biblical revival. He also participated in the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals Summit meeting at Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jim currently serves as a board member for the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals. These, and other associations, speak for Jim’s desire to see genuine reformation and revival in our day.

Jim has a great love for the local church. He is currently involved in planting a church, Christ Fellowship, with home congregations meeting in the Kansas City metro area.

In 1974 Jim earned his B.A. from Ouachita Baptist University, followed by a Masters from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1976 Jim married Pam Knight of Lincroft, New Jersey. Jim now has an active family of five. His wife and children, Benjamin, Bryan, and Laura sometimes travel with Jim both in the States and overseas.
